4 Months!

I can't believe it! I feel like I just wrote the 3 month post! (Well, that's because I did just write it... Any who...)

Lorelei:

Weight/Length: 11 lbs 10 oz 23.25 inches

Hair and Eyes: Her hair is pretty light, but every so often we catch this tint of red. NO idea where that came from. It may just be the random lighting. But it is getting pretty long on top! And so soft. Eyes are big and blue! 

Diapers: Size 1 - though they are getting tight. 

Clothing: 3 month onesie, but she are almost too short. 3 month outfits fit great. We will be moving to 3-6 month onesies soon. I can't believe that either!!

Favorite Things: Still loves the big swing. She always ends up in that one. She likes the play mat and is starting to like her giraffe lovie. 

Likes: She likes to snuggle up on me. SO sweet. She likes sucking her fingers/entire hand. So that's lovely. She is starting to talk and it is adorable. 

Dislikes: There's not much she dislikes. If I had to pick, probably tummy time. She just puts her head down and lays there. lol Not much working out going on. 

Eating: We moved up to 6 ounces with some oatmeal and she is actually eating it all. She hardly ever spits up so her cheeks are getting to big- compared to sister. She is a great eater. Can't believe we will be introducing real food soon. So 6 ounces at 8 am, 12p, 4p, 8p.

Sleeping: We stopped the night feedings!! So they have slowly been learning to sleep through the night. For the most part she does well! Around 4 she will start stirring and I can keep her quiet for an hour. Then by 5 or 5:30 she is really getting fired up, I will put her in the swing and she will sleep till 7 or till when we wake her up. 

Milestones: Sitting up like a big girl in our laps. No rolling yet, but that's ok. We visited a near doc for sister's head (more on that below), and she checked out L too. Turns out her head s flat and flatter on one side. So we just need to work more on tummy time and the way we sleep.  

Eloise:

Weight/Length: 12 lbs 24.5 inches

Hair and Eyes: Hair is still growing back and it is basically white! It almost looks like she doesn't have hair! 

Diapers: Size 1

Clothing: Same as Lorelei. 3 month onesies are getting too short. But the two piece outfits still fit.  

Favorite Things: Loves her paci, but likes to smile so she is conflicted a lot. :)  Also likes the play mat. 

Likes: Loves being held, smiling and cooing, looking around. Loves reaching out and playing with things. And LOVES bath time now! She's a little fish!

Dislikes: being put down or feeling like no one is paying attention to her. (Can you say Diva?)

Eating: 6 oz every feeding with oatmeal. She is still a "happy spitter." The reflux meds has helped minimally. She just spits so much!! :( I wish she could keep all her food down. 

Sleeping: Since we stopped the 2 am feeding we are learning to sleep through the night. We are almost there. 

Milestones: Rolling from back to tummy. And enjoying tummy time. Visited the cranial doc for her soft spot closing too soon. They weren't too worried as of now. As long as her head keeps growing we should be ok. Just have to keep watching her. Praying no surgery. Also praying we stop spitting up. It is getting out of hand. 

Mom's thoughts:
I'm not sure I can adequately put into words how much I love these little girls. Sometimes when we finally get them settled in the evening. I take one of them (Chris has the other) and go rock in their room. Sometimes I just get so overwhelmed thinking of the love and responsibility I have in my arms. It's these moments I love the most. My other new favorite is to turn on KLove and sing to the girls. They seem to enjoy it and to me it is easier than reading a book. So win-win, ha!

Eloise will hate me for this later, but I couldn't pass it up. About 4 months old playing on the floor and I hear *toot*... I look over to see....

New Year!

Happy 2015 from this wild crew! We spent the evening ringing in the new year with our same crew at the Schiro's house. We did take a group picture, but I don't have one.

2015 will be a year like we have never experienced. I can't wait to watch these little girls grow. And I couldn't ask for a better person than Chris to do that with. Cheers!

Christmas 2014

We had a great Christmas! It was a busy one getting to everyone's house with all of our umm, stuff. But we survived and it was great.

The Saturday before Christmas Chris and I were kiddo free. It was so nice to run a few last errands and have dinner just the two of us. We went to a new steak restaurant and then went and looked at the dancing Christmas lights! Can't wait for the girls to enjoy looking at lights.

SANTA!

We took the girls to meet Santa Clause a few weeks before Christmas. It was so uneventful I almost forgot about it. Crazy. No scream, no tears, to spit up or poop. Just sat on the jolly ole man's lap snap a few pics and called it a day. Love my sweet girls!

3 months!

We're three months old!

She will hate me for this picture one day. 

Lorelei:

Weight/Length: 10.4 with clothes on. 

Hair and Eyes: Hair is getting lighter and lighter each day. Eyes are big and blue! And her hair is actually starting to grow a bit! 

Diapers: Size 1 

Clothing:  Mostly 0-3 month onesies and 3 month outfits. We're three months old and wearing 3 month clothes! Perfect!!

Favorite Things: LOVES the big swing. And the playmat Aunt Tif got her. 

Likes: She likes to snuggle up on me. SO sweet. Not really in to toys or anything yet. Oh and she loves the tv. :( 

Dislikes: Still not a huge fan of the paci, not that she particularly dislikes it either. Generally the 6 p.m. hour she hates. Ha! 

Eating: We fix her 5 ounce bottles with a scoop of oatmeal. She finishes them most of the time. But when she is full, she is full and will not eat another drop. Girl knows what she wants. 

Sleeping: She sleeps pretty good at night. Still taking naps between daytime feedings after some playtime. She is definitely a morning person, like momma! Except we have developed a lovely habit of waking up at 5 a.m.! Oh sweet baby why can't you just sleep till 6? Just give me that hour! I generally have to get up and calm her a minute. I can put her in the swing and we can all go back to sleep for a few minutes. 

Milestones: Can mostly hold her head up. Not rolling, but spinning around. Starting to coo and smile back. 

Eloise:

Weight: 10lbs 3 oz. She is still bigger than sister, because L was weighed with her clothes on. If she would keep down half of what she eats, she would weigh a lot more. 

Hair and Eyes: Her hair stopped falling out and is sloooowly growing back blonde.  :) Eyes are still big and blue! 

Diapers: Size 1

Clothing:  Done with 0-3. And just about done with 3 month onesies. 3 month outfits still fit great. It truly is amazing how fast they can grow out of clothes.   

Favorite Things: Loves her paci, but likes to smile so she is conflicted a lot. :)  Almost getting too big for her favorite bouncer. Loves to look around.

Likes: Loves being held, smiling and cooing, looking around. 

Dislikes: being put down. If she is fussy and you get her calm by holding her, don't think about putting her down.  

Eating: 5 oz every feeding with oatmeal. She is still a "happy spitter." We started reflux med a few days ago. Hoping that will help her keep her food down. 

Sleeping: Sleeps great. We still wake up to feed at 2, but goes right back to sleep after that. still riding early!

Milestones: Can support her neck/head well. Pretty much holds her head up on her own. Rolled over from back to tummy a couple of times!
