Eleven months!

Oh sweet babies. Why do you have to grow up? It's just too fast for mama.

This is about the best I can do....

Sweet Little Lorelei

Weight/Length: We did visit the doctor this month with a cold and L was 17 pounds! Finally passed up sissy since birth!
Hair and Eyes: So blonde! And finally growing in nicely.
Diapers: Size 3
Clothing: Wears 9 month pjs and 9 month clothes. 9 month pjs still fit well, but we are going to have to move on to the 12 month
Favorite Things: Loves the shape sorter. And dog food. LOVES the blow dryer. And door stops. She likes to "read books" whereas sissy likes to eat them.
Likes: Loves bath time. When you lay her on her back, she flips out kicking and squealing! Loves to play peek-a-boo and to be "chased" down the hall way.
Dislikes: Anything or anyone touching her nose!
Eating: Eats 6 oz bottles at  8 am, 12p, 4p, and 7. She eats three "meals" a day! Oatmeal and a banana for breakfast, sliced turkey, fruit and cheese at lunch and some variation of that for dinner. Likes chicken, tomatoes, cheese, blueberries, strawberries, kiwi..still loves apples sauce and bananas. We need to work on veggies.
Sleeping: She sleeps great.
Milestones: She can pull up and stand with no assistance. Started to clap. Can finally nod yes. Wave. Lots of fun new stuff! She had one tooth break through on top.

Eloise:
Weight/Length:  I'd guess 16pounds 11 oz. She is thin and all muscle! No fat on her body!
Hair and Eyes: Her hair is getting so long! It reminds us of my Papaw and her great papaw's hair. Thick! And it is blonde, but not white like sissy's! I have to dry her hair at night so maybe she won't wake up with it all crazy! Eyes are beautiful blue!
Diapers: Size 3.
Clothing: 9 month pjs and clothes.
Favorite Things:  Clapping. Eating books. Laughing. And still really into dog food.
Likes: Loves smiling and laughing. Plays with all sorts of toys. Very curious (aka nosey).
Dislikes: Being put down or feeling like no one is paying attention to her.
Eating: 6 oz every feeding. Same schedule as sissy. Duh. The only thing she won't eat that sissy likes is sweet potatoes.
Sleeping: She goes to her bed around 7:15. Now that they have started daycare, they are worn out when they get home.
Milestones: She is crawling everywhere and fast! No new teeth. She can stand with no help for a minute at a time. Is SO full of life!!

Mom's thoughts: It just blows me away how big they are! They are really getting to a fun age! They babble and say words: Mama, dada, bobo, bubba. We had our first trip to the beach and they loved it! I am hard at work on their birthday party and i have only sobbed a couple of times. Ha! Just can't believe it goes so fast!

Daycare one week later

One week later we were at the doctor. Poor babies have to get that immune system strong.

First day of daycare

Well the girls started daycare today. We have been so grateful that Chris's cousin has been able to watch them the last five months, but it was time to get out and meet new friends (and germs for that immune system).

So off we went this morning.  Hey of course just sat down and began playing. No big deal.

I kept myself together. I know they are fine and it was time.  I'm more sad they are so grown up than the fact they are at daycare.

Why can't they be babies forever? Or at least a little while longer?

Ten Months!

Oh my sweet babes. Why are you growing so fast?

This is the best I can get. Yes, she ate the sticker.

Sweet Baby L

Weight/Length: I know we have gained weight in the last month, but her face is starting to slim down as she starts to crawl more and more.
Hair and Eyes: So, so blonde! And thin. I don't have to dry it. It just kinda poofs out. :) Eyes are blue!
Diapers: We made the jump to size 3. Sometimes I think they are big, but they work. I feel like we will be in these a while
Clothing: Wears 9 month pjs and 9 month clothes. If there is any elastic around the legs of clothes they are just about too tight. May have to move to 12 month soon. And then I may just die.
Favorite Things: She likes the bouncer, but likes to be on the outside of it now. She likes her Sophie book. And the shape sorter. And a plastic hanger is a real winner.
Likes: Loves bath time. When you lay her on her back, she flips out kicking and squealing! Still loves to sleep.
Dislikes: Not much she doesn't like. She is so easy going.
Eating: Eats 6 oz bottles with no oatmeal! Eating at  8 am, 12p, 4p, and 7:30ish. And just a week or so ago, the switch flipped and they love food! Chicken, tomatoes, cheese...still loves apples sauce and bananas.
Sleeping: She still sleeps great. But she doesn't go down quite as easy now. She likes to hop around in the bed a bit before settling in for the evening.
Milestones: Crawling really well. She can stand briefly. Loves eating. And we start daycare at 10 1/2 months.

Eloise:
Weight/Length:  I'd guess 16-17 pounds now. Still thin. But eats everything!
Hair and Eyes: Her hair is getting so long! And it is blonde, but not white like sissy's! I have to dry her hair at night so maybe sh won't wake up with it all crazy! Eyes are beautiful blue!
Diapers: Size 3.
Clothing: 9 month pjs and clothes.
Favorite Things:  Crawling FAST to the dog food! Ha! Likes to stand, but likes to be held so she can be up high and see everything. Loves the shape sorter.
Likes: Loves smiling and laughing. Plays with all sorts of toys. Very curious (aka nosey)
Dislikes: Being put down or feeling like no one is paying attention to her.
Eating: 6 oz every feeding with no oatmeal! We get calories from food now! And no more spit up! Woo Hoo!!!
Sleeping: She goes to her bed around 7:15, but actually goes to sleep 8-8:30... They are both really good at sleeping through the night now, with just minor crying out. Just need some settling to go back to sleep.
Milestones: She is crawling everywhere and fast! She has 6 teeth! (L has none) She can stand with no help for a minute at a time. Is SO full of life!!

Mom's thoughts: We are starting daycare tomorrow and I am so nervous. I called the daycare 3 times last week. The poor same lady answered the phone every time. I told her I was going to be her worst nightmare or we would be best friends by the end of all this. Haha!

I am also already planning their first birthday and it is a struggle to not have a melt down every.single.time. I think about it. How did they grow so fast????

Nine months!

Oh.my.goodness. My sweet babes are nine months old! They are growing just too fast. Everyone says that, but it is true. The joy they bring to our lives is palpable! Let's see what they have been up to....
Getting more difficult to take these pictures....

Sweet Lorelei
Weight/Length: This sweet girl is storing something in her cheeks, obviously. She is 16 lbs 5 oz and 26.5 inches long! And overall healthy! She did have low iron, but we will fix that in no time!
Hair and Eyes: So, so blonde! And thin. I don't have to dry it. It just kinda poofs out. :) Eyes are blue!
Diapers: Size 2. - barely. I think we will finish up what we have...
Clothing: Wears 9 month pjs, some 6 month bubbles will have to be retired soon.
Favorite Things: Anything that crinkles is her favorite. Loves her toes. Still loves the bouncer. Enjoys the paci.
Likes: Loves bath time. And this girl loves sleep. It is amazing. And awesome. She also likes to sleep face down, which make mom tres nervous.
Dislikes: Not much she doesn't like. She is so easy going.
Eating: Still at 6 ounces with one scoop of oatmeal. Eating at  8 am, 12p, 4p, and 7:30ish. We went through a brief food regression. Both girls had a little virus and neither was having anything to do with food. BUT we are getting back on track with purees and slowing exploring solids that they can pick up and feed themselves.
Sleeping: Still sleeping like a champ! This sweet, angel baby sleeps through the night!! She goes down at 7:30ish and I usually have to wake her up at 7ish! Her sister on the other hand.....
Milestones: Houston, we have a crawler! Not near as fast as sissy, but she'll get there. She can pick up puffs to eat and can pull herself up on just about anything.

Eloise:
Weight/Length: E is 15 lbs 8 oz. and 27.25 inches long. She is taller than sisy but weighs less. She is a skinny mini!
Hair and Eyes: Her hair is getting so long! And it is blonde, but not white like sissy's! Eyes are beautiful blue!
Diapers: Size 2
Clothing: 9 month pjs. We still have some 6 month outfits that work though, but moving on to 9 month clothes.
Favorite Things:  Crawling FAST to the dog food! Ha! Likes to stand, but likes to be held so she can be up high and see everything. And she likes to snuggle right before falling asleep. These are some of the sweetest moments.
Likes: Loves smiling and laughing. Plays with all sorts of toys. Very curious
Dislikes: Being put down or feeling like no one is paying attention to her. She no longer enjoys her bouncers, because she is then confined to one place. And we can't have that happen.
Eating: 6 oz every feeding with 2 scoops of oatmeal. Getting much better about spitting up! Same eating schedule as sis. Same with sis in the food regression, but she is slowing coming back around. I hate they got sick.
Sleeping: She goes to her bed around 7:15, but actually goes to sleep 8-8:30..... She just about sleeps through the night. She will startle some and I can just put her paci in and she'll go back to sleep till about 6:00. She seriously has a fear of missing out on something.
Milestones: She is crawling everywhere and fast! She definitely understands her name. If she is going where she shouldn't, I can say her name and she will stop, grin and debate about continuing. Oh, this girl right here.... She also has FIVE teeth now!

Mom's thoughts: I just can't believe how fast they are growing! This is a really fun age. They laugh and "talk" and I just wish I knew what they were saying!

As they get older I begin to realize the great responsibility we have. OMG I have to teach them to do the right thing!? I have to instill in them the values of life?! We are certainly in for an adventure!
